Firefly Wi-Fi

Deep in the woods, fireflies blink in perfect binary. Campers pull out laptops, astonished to find full bars. The password is whispered by the rustling leaves. Uploads travel on wings of light. When the fireflies migrate, the forest goes offline, and the campers must talk to each other again. They tell stories about glowing routers with tiny legs. The trees listen, storing the data as rings, backups made of sap and patient memory.
